Sticking it to diabetes

Angie Baumgartner of Monroe plays to the camera as she gets her finger poked to check her blood sugar.-áThe man behind the needle is Mike Parker, the operation manager for the Northwest Lions Foundation Health Screening Unit. The Health Screening Unit was at the East County Senior Center screening seniors and the citizens of Monroe. The Screening Unit travels all over Washington and is sponsored By the Northwest Lions Foundation. Among the things they check are blood pressure, sight, glaucoma, diabetes, and hearing.
