East county residents can clean up their properties during Sultan's Community Clean Up Event on Saturday, April 20, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sultan High School, 13 715 310th Ave. S.E.
Almost all items accepted are at no cost. Refrigerators and freezers require a $30 fee which must be paid at Sultan City Hall during weekday business hours.
A shredding truck will be available from 8 to 11 a.m. or until the truck is full, whichever comes first.
Allied Waste will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Sultan Food Bank.
The Sultan High Class of 2013 Senior Parents will be selling baked goods at the event. Proceeds go to a safe and sober graduation night.
A signed release form is required to participate in this event. For a copy of the release form, or for a list of items that will be accepted, as well as those that won't, drop in City Hall during normal business hours, go to www.ci.sultan.wa.us, or call (360) 793-2231.
