As of Sept. 6, the food bank had received $50 towards the fund. The $200 balance will need to be obtained within approximately one week.-áDonations can be dropped off at the Sultan Food Bank or the Volunteers of America office, located at 703 1st St. in Sultan.-áChecks should be made out to the Sultan Food Bank, with a note specifying "cow fund.GÇ¥
One cow would yield roughly 500 pounds of meat for Sky Valley families in need.
"It's a huge donation," said Kelly Clifton, Director of Sky Valley Community Outreach.-á"We want to take advantage of it."
