Sultan Harvest seeks donations for Community Thanksgiving Dinner

Sultan Harvest will host the 11th annual free Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Volunteers of America, 701 1st St., in the large A-frame, from noon to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.
Cash and food donations are needed. Collection Sites are at the Volunteers of America, 701 1st St. (green building), call (360) 793-2400 for times; and the Sultan Visitor Center, 320 Main St., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. For a receipt please leave your name and address.
The committee seeks donations of fresh or frozen turkeys (prefer 25 lb.), potatoes, juice, butter, eggs, rolls, cranberries, paper towels, store-made pies, milk, whipped cream and butter.-á Visit Sultan Harvest on Facebook to view the full needs list.
New or slightly used clean coats, blankets, hats, gloves and stuffed animals are also accepted as donations.-á They are given out to those who need them on Thanksgiving Day.
Volunteer opportunities are available for helping on Thanksgiving Day. You can volunteer by going to Sultan Harvest on Facebook, or email sultanharvest@aol.com.-á The kitchen and food service is fully staffed but there are many other opportunities available including, but not limited to, decorators, table bussers, cleanup crew members, a Santa photographer, a candid photographer and game organizers.
Sultan Harvest meetings are Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at the Volunteers of America - 701 1st St. (upstairs in the green building). Everyone is welcome to attend.
