Ready Readers: Preschool Storytime GÇô Mondays, April 8, 15, 22 and 29, 11 a.m. Silly stories, happy songs, rhymes, and activities that inspire a love of reading. Playtime follows. For newborns through 18 months. Caregiver required.
Creature Creation GÇô Monday, April 1, 11 a.m. Bring your imagination, grab a bag and craft away! For ages 5GÇô12.
Hobbit Doors and Fairy Habitats GÇô Tuesday, April 2, 11 a.m. Green moss, fallen twigs, bright hobbit-colors, and other magical items provided for you to discover a bit of the Shire and make a fairy or hobbit habitat for your home or back yard. Bring your favorite Hobbit quote! The library has lots of books to explore about fairy habitats, Earth Day activities, and Hobbits.
Saturday Family Crafternoon: For the Birds GÇô Saturday, April 6, noon. Families are invited to uncover secrets about the lives of birds. Check out some of the library's resources for staging your own birdwatching expedition and make your own springtime feeder to take home.
A Celebration with Author George Shannon GÇô Wednesday, April 17, 6 p.m. Celebrate El d+¡a de los ni+¦os/El d+¡a de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day) with author and storyteller George Shannon. D+¡a is a nationally-recognized initiative that emphasizes the importance of literacy for all children from all backgrounds.
Lego-« Club GÇô Thursday, April 18, 3:45 p.m. An opportunity to learn and play with Lego-«. Individual projects, cooperative play and free exploration. For school age children ages 6GÇô12.
April is the month of Earth Day-Bring a flower, pretty stone, or other object for our book display and receive a small gift! Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Sultan Library.
