Introduction to LEGO-« Robotics: Sat., Aug. 9, 11 a.m. Participants create amazing mechanisms with LEGO-« Robotics using LEGO-« bricks, science concepts and laptop computers. Ages 7 and up. Preregistration is required.
Our Magnetic Sun: Thurs., Aug. 21, 11:30 a.m. Join the Albuquerque Astronomical Society's Roger and Linda Kennedy in this 90 minute program to explore the sun. Use telescopes for observation and materials from the NASA "Our Magnetic SunGÇ¥ self-directed educational/ interactive information table to learn more. In addition, learn the concepts of energy transformation, the electromagnetic spectrum, absorption and reflection, as well as the health effects of ultra-violet radiation, all at a child's learning level. All ages welcome.
