Book and Bake Sale: Saturday, May 11, 8:30 a.m. GÇô 5 p.m. Proceeds go toward Friends of the Library support of library programs, furnishings, and supplies.
Children:
Ready Readers, Preschool Storytime: Mondays, May 6, 13 and 20, 10:30 a.m. Stories and crafts, for ages 3-5, with caregiver.
Lego-« Club: Thursday, May 16, 3:45 p.m. Individual projects, cooperative play and free exploration for children ages 6-12.
Adults:
Spring Into Meditation: Thursday, May 16, 6:30 p.m. Ajili Hodari will show you a simple meditation technique designed to lead to deeplevels of peace and joy, and will demonstrate how meditation can enrich one's life, personally, professionally and spiritually.
Friends of the Sultan Library Meeting: Thursday, May 16, 9:30 a.m. Come join with other community members to enhance your local library through a variety of fundraisers, including book sales, bake sales, and more.
Dr. Doyle and Mr. Holmes: The Cultural Staying Power of Sherlock Holmes: Wednesday, May 22, 6:30 p.m. Seattle Times arts journalist Tom Keogh will discuss Sherlock Holmes, his creation by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and why we, as a culture, remain so attached to a character invented in 1886. Refreshments available.
