Summer reading pays off

Summer Reading Program participants Elliott Dimock and Emma Whiddon are the proud owners of brand new bikes.
Their names were drawn from all of the children who finished their summer reading goals at the Sultan Library and received a new bike, courtesy of the Sultan-Monroe Masonic Lodge.
The lodge has been providing Monroe and Sultan branches with two bikes for many years now but Jack Houston (a local member of the lodge) spear-headed a campaign this year, arranging for lodges all over the county to donate bikes to local libraries. All Sno-Isle branches were able to give bikes away as part of the reading program thanks to the Masons' and Jack's efforts.
