The Monroe Thunderbolts won the U-10 division at the Snohomish Bigfoot tournament, which took place Aug. 13GÇô16 at Stocker Fields in Snohomish. The Thunderbolts won 3-2 in the championship game on Sunday, Aug. 16.
Top shooters in the championship game were Mikah Hammerquist with two goals and Angie Henderson with one. This is the second tournament win for the Thunderbolts, coached by Jeff Garner.
"They did great,GÇ¥ said parent Ashley Robertson. "Mikah had nine goals for the whole weekend.GÇ¥
The Thunderbolts played a total of four games in the tournament, including the championship game. They won the first game 4-2, tied the second game 3-3 and triumphed in game three with a score of 8-2.
