The United Way of Snohomish County is calling on high-schoolers to spend their day off for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday volunteering on Monday, Jan. 18.
The MLK Day of Service is a partnership with the United Way, Catholic Services and Senior Corps.
Students in Monroe can volunteer at the senior center or with Take the Next Step, but there are also many more opportunities around the county. Information about all projects and registration can be found at www.uwsc.org/mlkday.php.
Volunteers must sign up by Friday, Jan. 15. Teens 14-19 are wanted, but adult volunteers are also needed.
