Dear Editor:
I'm writing this letter to urge support for the upcoming Valley General Hospital Levy on April 23rd. Without voter approval of this levy, Monroe area residents will likely lose vital emergency and other hospital services.
As a teacher in Monroe Public Schools for over 25 years, I have heard countless stories of my students and their families being rushed to the emergency room at VGH. On two occasions I've driven my own son into town for emergency care. Knowing that help is just a short distance away should give all of us much needed peace of mind. Each time I have used Valley General's services, the medical attention provided was prompt, courteous and competent. This valuable resource is essential in serving our growing community. I urge you to please vote YES on April 23rd.
