Woman sent to prison for failing to comply with sex offender treatment

A woman who received a suspended sentence for a sex offense against a child last year has been sent to prison for not complying with the conditions of her release.
Caitlin Ferry, then 23, pleaded guilty early this year to one count of child molestation and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor for molesting the son of her former boyfriend, a man who was sentenced to 35 years in prison for committing sexually abusive acts on children for a period of years.
Ferry, who is somewhat learning-disabled, was found in one photograph of the thousands her boyfriend had, nude, and holding the man's son.
The boyfriend wrote from prison that he'd intended the shot as art; the prosecutor said it was sexual, and Ferry took the plea to avoid the possibility of much harsher sentence, should a jury find her guilty.
She was sentenced to more than seven years in prison, but the sentence was suspended on the condition that she complied with sexual deviancy treatment, among other things.
She'd already had trouble complying with court rules: while awaiting trial she'd been released, only to be returned to jail after she was found to be working with children at the Evergreen State Fair, which the terms of her release prohibited.
July 29, a community corrections officer filed nine charges of failure to comply against Ferry including possessing pornography; having unapproved sexual contact with men and failing to disclose it; failing to close all her social media accounts and failing to comply with treatment.
She has been taken back into custody and will serve out the remainder of her sentence in prison.
