Turks Sophomore Gavyn Baird rocks over James Allen of Lakewood for a pin to win the early round of the 152-pound class of the opening bouts of the-áCascade KingCo 2A Wrestling Sub-Regional tournament Friday in Sultan.-áThe Turks went on to finish second in the tourney, advancing-áJason Barrus, Jacob Naslund, and Taylor Comfort as champions in their classes. Second in their weights,-áJames MacKenzie, Bryce MacDicken, James Boglivi, Charlie Johnson and Brandon Webb will join fourth place finishers-áRyan Sharp and Matt Baller for the bus ride to the Regional-ámatch-ups-áin-áSedro-áWoolley next Saturday. The top four from each-áweight-áat Regionals go to the State Mat Classic in Tacoma-áFebruary-á14 and 15. Turk Coach Garth MacDicken was-árecognized as Coach of the Year by his peers in the Cascade-áKingCo-á2A Conference.
