The Eatonville School District launched COVID-19 testing in three school sites last week. As part of a $7.8 million grant, the district is partnering with the White River and Peninsula school districts to bring rapid antigen Covid-19 testing inside their schools in collaboration with the Tacoma Pierce County Health Department. The testing pilot allows staff and students access to weekly testing.
According to the TPCHD website, the strategy is will help determine whether students can safely go back to in-person learning. For more information, go to https://www.tpchd.org/healthy-people/diseases/covid-19/information-for-schools-and-childcare/school-based-testing-pilot.
