GRAHAM BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

The Graham Business Association meets from 7:15-9 a.m. the third Wednesday of every month at The Lodge at Frontier Park. On Jan. 15, the speaker will be Jessie Becerra on the Work Force Central Intern Program. On Feb. 19, Joseph Romero of Service First Real Estate Group will give an update the Real Estate market in Graham/Pierce County. On March 18, Steve Martinez, a CPA and attorney, will speak on choosing you legal and taxable entity.

JUBILANT, JOCULAR JANUARY

The “Jubilant, Jocular, January" luncheon  will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at United Methodist Church in Yelm. The cost is $10. Featuring:  Senior benefits choices with Denise Bishop and special speaker Linda Wozniak.

NEEDS TOUR

There will be a stadium lights tour at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21 Eatonville High school stadium, and a “Donut tour” at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, to asses bond needs.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Eatonville United Methodist Church will host a no-cost afterschool program, called Jesus for Kids (JFK) Wednesdays from 3-5 p.m. at the church for elementary- and middle-school-aged kids. FRIENDS OF THE

LIBRARY

Attend the Friends of the Eatonville Library meeting from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16 at the library to become a “Friend” and help to enrich the community through library involvement.

BUSINESS AFTER HOURS

The Graham Business Association will hold a business after hours event at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at Flying Tomato Grill on Meridian. Spouses are welcome. This is a casual networking event that can last a couple hours, depending on the group, though folks can come and go as they please.

GET SMART: COMPUTER BASICS

Eatonville Library will host a computer skills class from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the library. Get started with basic computer skills and concepts. Identify the parts of a computer, learn the basic Windows functions, and how to use a mouse and keyboard.

DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS

Eatonville Dollars for Scholars is meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Eatonville High School South Hall Room 129. Please join us as we prepare the EHS Class of 2020 scholarships. If you have any questions please contact Sarah Boettcher at boetsons@gmail.

GBA SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION

A-STEM ACADEMY CAREER DAY

Career Day at Columbia Crest A-STEM Academy is scheduled for March 24. The school is trying to cover the following career paths: health and human services, science and natural resources, career and technical education, business management/administration and fine arts (to include culinary arts, music, etc.). Those who come to represent should be able to speak about their job role, the benefits and challenges of the job role, and the nuts and bolts of the work they do (i.e. salary, retirement, health benefits). SCHOOL BACKPACKS

The Eatonville Family Agency, a nonprofit charitable organization, supports and runs the only backpack program in the Eatonville School District, which feeds around 100 children each weekend for the school year. To participate, volunteer or donate, visit the agency at the Eatonville Community Center at 305 W. Center St., in Eatonville or call 360-832-6805 for information.

CELEBRATE RECOVERY

This is a faith-based 12-Step Recovery Program. Become a guest at one of the weekly Celebrate Recovery meetings every Tuesday evening. The group offers childcare.
