Alzheimer's town hall slated for Nov. 19

The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a virtual town hall for Washington’s Eighth Congressional District, which includes Eatonville, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 19.

During the town hall, the public can ask questions and hear from local leaders about public policy and legislation related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Alzheimer’s is currently the third leading cause of death in the state and costs Washington taxpayers $547 million a year in Medicaid costs, according to the announcement.

The virtual town hall is free, but advance registration is required. For more information and to register,  visit http://alzwa.org/townhalls or contact Brad Forbes, brforbes@alz.org or (425) 246-6432.
