P-EBT is part of a Washington state program funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. The program was created as a benefit response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Eligible families can receive a one-time payment of as much as $399 per child, depending on qualification. The benefit comes in the form of a card, almost exactly like a debit card, that can be used at virtually any grocery store.
The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11. P-EBT is available for all eligible children in Washington, regardless of their immigration status or their parents’ immigration status. Those who apply will not be asked about immigration status or citizenship.
Eligibility –
Students attending a K-12 school that provides a school lunch program during the year
And student is eligible for free or reduced-price school meals
Or student attends school that provides free meals for all students
