Pierce County residents can still register to vote

Pierce County residents have until Oct. 26 to register online or by mail for the Nov. 3 general election. People can register at the Washington Secretary of State's website. To register online, residents will need a current Washington state driver license or a current Washington state ID card. People with neither of those things can still register by mail or in person. To register by mail, people should print a voter registration form, and mail it to Pierce County Elections. People can register in person through Nov. 3 by going to the elections office, 2501 S. 35th St. C, Tacoma, WA 98409. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drive-through services, for last-minute help, is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 31; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 2; 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 3. Voters pamphlets will be mailed to residents Oct. 8 for the Nov. 3 general election. Local ballots will be mailed Oct. 16 for the Nov. 3 general election.
