She married her high school sweetheart, Lester Boettner in Dec of 1951. They made their home in Graham, raising 3 sons there. After retirement Les and Cricket moved to Quincy, WA, first living in Sunland and then up on the Quincy Golf Course where they belonged to the Men’s and Women’s clubs and enjoyed golfing and afternoon happy hours with the many friends they had there. They were married for just short of 50 years when Les passed away in 2001 at age 71. After Les’s passing her nieces Karen, Lisa and Rheta kept her busy with annual vacations to Kauai, HI. Cricket stayed in Quincy until 2018 when her sons finally persuaded her into returning to this side of the mountain. She has resided at Silver Creek Retirement Community since then. Greeting her in heaven are her parents Ed and Dorothy Poorman, her sister and brother-in law Bob and Helen Ettlin and brother Edward (Bud) Poorman.
