After trailing 5-4 in the fifth, a late-inning barrage by the Cruisers lifted them past Tenino 9-5 in the first game of their three-game series this past Thursday.
In the sixth inning, Eatonville plated four runs and then added another in the final inning.
Jakob Lucht went 2-5 with a double and drove in two runs. Blain Hanly went 1-3 with a double and drove in two runs. Ashton Meyer drove in a pair of Cruiser runs as well.
The Beavers got their payback in games two and three as they defeated the Cruisers 15-7 and 8-5.
In the first game of the double header, Lucht went 3-5 at the plate and drove in a Cruiser run, and Payton Hanly collected two hits and drove in a run.
In the second game, Lucht picked up another hit and drove in two more runs.
The Cruisers’ record now sits at 6-6 overall and 3-3 in league play with seven games remaining, six of those league matchups against league-leading Montesano and last-place Hoquiam.
Next up, the Cruisers will host the Mt. Tahoma Thunderbirds at 4 p.m. Friday.
