TENNIS

In the recent WIAA District 3 Tennis Tournament, Eatonville's #1 doubles team, Brody Thirtyacre and AJ Lightfoot, secured a commendable 4th-place finish, earning them the title of 2nd alternate to the Spring 2024 State Tournament. Their journey featured a thrilling comeback victory over the CWA team, Iverson and Brink, seeded 4th, in an intense match that went the distance (6-7, 6-2, 6-3). However, they couldn't overcome Klahowya's top-seeded Langguth and Dickey in the second round (1-6, 1-6).

Eatonville's No. 1 singles player, Carl Lucas, placed 8th, in his District Tourney debut. Notably, Eatonville Tennis received the League/District Sportsmanship Award, recognizing the exceptional sportsmanship and respect they demonstrated throughout the tournament.


CROSS COUNTRY

The Eatonville High School cross country team made a strong showing at the State Championships. In the boys' division, Colton Rush showcased his determination, securing a respectable 53rd place with a notable time of 17:40.30. Following closely behind, Joey Mueller demonstrated his strength and endurance, finishing in 74th place with a time of 17:58. Their efforts contributed to the team's remarkable presence at the State Championships.

On the girls' side, Grace Coonrod displayed her exceptional talent and commitment to the sport. She secured an outstanding 21st place, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 20:22.40.
