Eatonville School District, thanks to Eatonville resident Caleb Boettcher, had the opportunity to apply for an AgWest grant that would support school programs. Lucy Fountain, then Interim Superintendent, applied for a grant to fund commercial grade refrigerators that would support the needs of the food service program as it provides fresh vegetables for the salad bars offered at every school. Eatonville joined Enumclaw and a school in Alaska as recipients of grants. Eatonville was awarded a total of $44,200. The district is very appreciative of this support from AgWest. The refrigeration units have been ordered. Pictured is Sheila Hammond, Eatonville School District accountant, Lucy Fountain and Jay Brower, current Superintendent. Superintendent Brower gratefully accepts the money on behalf of the district.
