The Eatonville Cruisers girls soccer team had a commanding week, earning two shutout victories, including a dominant 6-0 win at home against Washington on Tuesday. The team followed the win with a 5-0 victory on the road at Clover Park on Thursday.

In Tuesday's home match, senior forward Haley Courson was unstoppable, netting five goals. Mary VanEaton added one goal to cap off the 6-0 rout.

The Cruisers carried their momentum into Thursday's away match at Clover Park. Courson led the way again with two goals, while VanEaton, Kalli Olson, and Linnea Lofgren each added one in the 5-0 victory. Goalkeeper Tierney Amaral was solid between the posts.

“We’re showing our ability to possess the ball, and though we’re still improving on creating chances, the progress is there,” said Eatonville head coach Max Van Eaton.

The two wins move Eatonville to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in 2A SPSL league play. The Cruisers will host Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, Oct. 1, before heading to face rivals Orting on Thursday, Oct. 3. Both matches are scheduled for 7 p.m.
