Celebrate Oktoberfest at Mill Haus Cider Company

The Mill Haus Cider Company is hosting its Oktoberfest celebration with a series of events, starting Oct. 9 through Oct. 13. 

The lineup is as follows: 

• Wednesday, Oct. 9: Oktoberfest trivia will take place at 6 p.m. in the Taproom. 

• Thursday, Oct. 10: A stein painting session will be led by The Mad Potter at 6 p.m. Participants can register by emailing themadpotterwa@gmail.com. 

• Friday, Oct. 11: Guests are encouraged to wear their best head-to-toe Oktoberfest attire to win a door prize. The evening will feature live music from the Rowe Brothers from 6-8 p.m., and a stein-holding contest on stage at 7 p.m. 

• Saturday, Oct. 12: Earn another chance to win a door prize for Oktoberfest attire. Highlights include the Strudel Walk on the main lawn from 1-5 p.m., live music by Tom Moore from 2-5 p.m., and a pretzel toss at 6:30 p.m., followed by live music from Jed Crislogo from 6-8 p.m. 

• Sunday, Oct. 13: The celebration wraps up with a Strudel Walk at 1:30 p.m., a Maker’s Market featuring over 20 local vendors from noon to 4 p.m., and live music by Kristin Marlo from 2-4 p.m. 

In addition to the Oktoberfest events, Mill Haus hosts several other events and happenings. 

• Oct. 24-31: The "Community Pumpkin Carving Contest" invites people of all ages to submit carved pumpkin designs to Mill Haus. The pumpkins will be displayed for a pumpkin art walk, and the winners will be announced Nov. 1. For details on how to submit, email bree@drinkmillhaus.com. 

• Oct. 26: The "Howl-o-ween Dog Costume Party & Pints for Paws" offers a chance to celebrate Halloween with furry friends. Attendees are encouraged to dress their pets in costumes and enjoy cider, with $1 from each purchase donated to a local animal shelter. A short "fashion show" of dogs in costumes will occur on stage at 2 p.m. 

Every second and fourth Sunday until the end of November, the Maker's Market invites guests to sip and shop from over 20 local vendors from noon to 4 p.m.
