Boating safety class in Graham

The Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct a boating safety class June 16 in Graham. The class. which meets the requirements for the Washington Boater Education card, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Graham Fire and Rescue station at 23014 70th Ave. The fee is $25 for the textbook, test and other materials. Participants are asked to register at Graham.safe.boating@gmail.com Anyone 40 years old and under who wants to operate power boats with motors of 15 horsepower or higher and personal watercraft are required to have a Boater Education Card, said Jim Ehnborn, Flotilla 25 commander for the auxiliary's District 13, Division 2.
