Boating safety class in Graham

The Coast Guard Auxiliary will conduct a boating safety class June 16 in Graham. The class. which meets the requirements for the Washington Boater Education card, is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Graham Fire and Rescue station at 23014 70th Ave. The fee is $25 for the textbook, test and other materials. Participants are asked to register at Anyone 40 years old and under who wants to operate power boats with motors of 15 horsepower or higher and personal watercraft are required to have a Boater Education Card, said Jim Ehnborn, Flotilla 25 commander for the auxiliary's District 13, Division 2.
