Bollen is Nisqually's MVP

Jesse Bollen of Eatonville High School has been named the Most Valuable Player of the 2014 Nisqually League baseball season. Bollen, a senior, was the shortstop on the team that reached the 1A Tri-District playoffs. He drove in two of the Cruisers' runs in a 7-3 loss to Nooksack Valley that ended their post-season bid. Four other seniors among the Cruisers also received All-Nisqually honors, headed by catcher Connor Wienholz, who was named to the first team. Pitcher Alex Brandt was a second-team selection. First baseman-outfielder Caleb Keefer and pitcher Gabe Streich received honorable mention.
