One motorist was injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and an automobile on State Route 7 near Spanaway Sunday. The State Patrol reported that the motorcycle's rider, a 47-year-old man from Eatonville, was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma for medical treatment. The seriousness or extent of his injuries wasn't revealed. Troopers said the automobie, a passenger sedan, made an illegal U-turn on SR-7 near 260th Street, causing a collision with the motorcycle. The car's driver wasn't injured. There were no passengers in the car or on the motorcycle. The driver of the car, a 28-year-old man from Tacoma, is facing possible charges of vehicular assault, according to the State Patrol. SR-7 was blocked for about three hours as a result of the accident.
