Concert helps fight hunger

A free concert this Saturday at Glacier View Park in Eatonville will benefit the Eatonville food bank.
Audience donations of non-perishable food and money will support efforts to meet local needs of the hungry.
The concert will start at 7 p.m. and feature swing music by the Jazz Disciples, a 22-member group of instrumentalists and vocalists who mix the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, the Andrews Sisters and the Modern Aires with a gospel message. The Jazz Disciples have performed at the Bite of Seattle, the Puyallup Fair and the PIerce County Prayer Breakfast.
The Eatonville Lions Club is organizing the event and also will sell lattes, mochas, Italian sodas and ice cream sundaes, with all proceeds going to the food bank.
