Cruisers' Moeller, Swartout all-league

Eatonville High School's Brooks Moeller and Samantha Swartout have been named first-team All-Evergreen League performers for the 2015-16 basketball season. Moeller, a junior, and Swartout, a sophomore, were standouts for Eatonville's boys and girls teams that reached the 1A Southwest District playoffs after finishing third in the league standings during the regular season. Joining Moeller in all-league recognition were teammates Carson Hutchings (second team) and Ray Springer (honorable mention). The Cruisers' girls squad also had selections for second-team (sophomore Madison Jumper) and honorable mention (senior Brailee VandenBoom). Most Valuable Player honors for the league were awarded to Jack Adams III of Hoquiam, and Jordan Spradlin of Montesano. The full first-team and second-team selections in voting by Evergreen coaches include: " Boys first team: Parker Browning, junior, Forks; Moeller; Jace Varner, junior, Hoquia; Payton Campbell, senior, Aberdeen; Nihls Peterson, senior, Tenino. " Boys second team: Kolton Emerson, senior, Elma; Jerod Steen, senior, Hoquiam; Hutchings; Marky Adams, senior, Forks; Logan Truax, senior, Montesano; Josh Kennedy, junior, Rochester. " Girls first team: Maddie Thompson, senior, Elma; Kylie Stewart, senior, Hoquiam; Swartout; Joni Lancaster, senior, Rochester; Makenna Roiko, senior, Aberdeen. " Girls second team: Cheyann Bartlett, junior, Montesano; Shayla Floch, junior, Montesano; Skyler DeMatties, junior, Forks; Peyton Elliott, junior, Elma; Jumper; Kaylee Schow, freshman, Tenino.
