Dale Leonard Smith/Sept. 17, 1966 - Jan. 16, 2015

Eatonville recently lost a key member of its community. Dale Leonard Smith was known by many people in our small town, and was a man who wore many hats; husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Clever and resourceful, he was one of those people who knew how to get things done at work, home, and for anyone in need. Earlier this month, our beloved Dale passed away suddenly from complications due to an undetected yet advanced stage of heart disease. He was surrounded by his loving family when the Angels came to take his spirit home. Dale was born and raised in Eatonville. He graduated from Eatonville High School and went to work for Keith and Dolores Malcom. He became a friendly face for locals and travelers alike while working in and around Mill Village. Dale is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jamie Smith, and his step-sons, Damien and Gavan, his parents, Eugene, "BudGÇ¥ and Carol Smith, and his brothers, Richard of Eatonville, and Donald of Tacoma. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on March 7 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Eatonville.
