Deanna Rose Simons joined her granddaughter Angie in heaven Jan. 21,-á2013.-á-áDeanna attended Stadium High School, PLU and Emmanuel Nursing School.-áShe met Glen at a Bible study and they married in 1958.-áIn addition, to raising seven children she was a deaconess, newspaper columnist, travel agent, and worked in an antique shop.-áAlso a real estate agent, Daffodil Court chaperone and served on the city council.-áShe was a leader for-áBible Study Fellowship-áand attended Christian Women's Clubs.-áDeanna was an avid gardener, quilter, enjoyed reading and loved to travel. Deanna was born Feb. 25,-á1938 in Medford, Ore.-áShe is survived by her husband Glen, her sister Donna (Bob) and late brother Carl's wife Willa and her sister Debbie (Dale).-áShe is also survived by her seven children, Rick (Diane), Larry (Terry), Bonnie (Joe), Nate (Gretchen), Suzy (John), Becky (John), and Mark.-áShe had 28 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.-áServices were held Jan. 25.
