Dedications for school facilities

The Bethel School District is planning dedication ceremonies for its Bethel Learning Center and a new portion of Pierce County Skills Center.
In cooperation with the Boys and Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound and Bethel Recreation, the district will host a dedication this Saturday for the Learning Center. The program will includes a light breakfast served by members of the Boys and Girls Clubs Teen Chefs program at 9 a.m., followed by a ribbon-cutting at 9:30. The facility for students and families is funded by a federal and state funds, local bond proceeds and community donations.
The Skills Center, which is administered by the Bethel district as a consortium of several districts, including Eatonville, will hold a dedication at noon Oct. 16 for its $5.7 million Phase 2A. It includes additional classrooms for Digipen science and design courses. The center, at 16117 Canyon Road, provides career and technical training.
