Eatonville, G-K runners wrap up season

Eatonville's girls team fared the best among local entries in the state cross country championships last Saturday in eastern Washington. Eatonville placed seventh in the girls' race, whikle the Cruisers' boys finished 12th in the 1A meet. In the 4A division, Graham-Kapowsin teammates Peyton Graham finished 96th and Porter Kreier was 98th in the boys' competition. They were clocked in 16:56 and 16:57.16. Faith Vuksich was the top individual finisher for the Eatonville girls' squad, touring the layout at Sun Willows Golf Coure in Pasco in 21 minutes 1 second. She was followed by Isabelle Snyder (45th at 21:07), Tayler Cearley (53rd at 21:15), Emma Vuksich (61st at 21:24), Emily Padgett (72nd at 21:40), Cassy Foss (110th at 23:02), and Mia Snyder (117th at 23:38). Leading up to the state finale, the Cruisers won the district and Evergreen League meets. In the boys' state meet, Ron Roberts led Eatonville with a 48th-place finish in 17:23. His teammates included Zach Ames (66th at 17:44), Nickolas Schier (99th at 18:26), Eli Evenson-silva (100th at 18:29), Chayton Quaranto (136th at 20:02), Carson Hutchings (138th at 20:17) and Brennan Hall (142nd at 21:12). Lakeside and Medical Lake were the 1A girls' and boys' team champions, respectively. In the 4A state meet, Graham-Kapowsin teammates Peyton Graham finished 96th and Porter Kreier was 98th in the boys' competition. They were clocked in 16:56 and 16:57.16.
