The occupants of a Graham-area house escaped a fire that destroyed the residence early Sunday morning. According to Graham Fire and Rescue, the fire in the two-story structure on 70th Avenue Court East may have started in the kitchen. A neighbor saw smoke and flames and called 9-1-1 at 3 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the fire had broken through the roof. An adult male, his son and the son's friend had gotten out safely, although the man was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of possible smoke inhalation and burns, a Graham Fire spokesman said. An online fund-raising drive to help the Gregg family has been launched at gofundme.com. The family reportedly is staying temporarily with relatives.
