Florence Eva Blum (Wheelock)/March 18, 1915-April 27, 2016

Eva passed away peacefully at a family member's home on April 27th, 2016 in Eatonville, WA at the age of 101. Eva is survived by her spouse of twenty-five years Gene Blum of Graham, WA. Her son Bob Crisman and his wife PeeDee of Maple Falls, WA., Five Grandchildren; Seven Great-Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; Five Step-children: Marci, Linda, Jim, Nancy, Janet; Four Step-Grandchildren, and Four Step-Great-Grandchildren. She is also survived by Step-Sister Louise Wackerle; Sister-in-law Jeannie Wheelock, and Son-in-law Allen Pratt. Eva was born on March 18th, 1915 in Spanaway, WA to Roy H. and Essie (Evans) Wheelock. She graduated from Eatonville High School in 1933. While growing up, Eva lived between Tacoma, WA and Mt. Rainier National Park; where her family operated Eagle Peak Copper Mining Company. Her family stayed between Tacoma and the park. In 1918 they lived year round in the park until the Fall of 1920. While living in the park, Eva became friends with two small bear cubs and had so many other wonderful memories. On Thanksgiving Day 1929 her family moved away from the mine to Price's place, which many will know as Alexander's Restaurant. On Christmas Day 1930 the family moved to Eatonville, WA. However, the family would return to the park during the summer for a month stay. Eva was accomplished at so many things; sewing, oil painting and many other crafts. She was a stubborn and dedicated individual who loved cooking/baking and who was passionate about her family and friends. There always had to be food for when company visited and she would be upset if you didn't eat. She was an active and dedicated member of the F.L.T Rebakah Sisters #241 and monthly dinners the mobile home park had; where she lived for 27 years. Eva also enjoyed traveling to places with Gene and son-in-law, that her daughter had planned. Trips to Reno, Mexico, Alaska and a Panama Canal Cruise. She also enjoyed her weekly card game with ladies from the park, every Monday. Eva enjoyed this even up until last year. Towards the end, she would only play one hand, with a little help, but then would get to visit. Even at 100, looking good in the morning was important to her. Always looking into the mirror to make sure her hair looked ok, if not it must be curled. Of course, usually dressed in her favorite color GÇô Purple. She is proceeded in death by her 1st husband Raymond Crisman of 44 years; 2nd husband Sam Hindle of 6 years; daughter Janet (Crisman) Pratt; son Richard Crisman; Daughter-in-law Shirley Crisman; brothers LeRoy Wheelock, Lewis (Bill) Wheelock, sisters Ina Wheelock, and Gertrude Wheelock. The family would like to thank Multicare Hospice Staff with a special Thank You to Elinda and Debbie. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for May 22, 2016 at Frontier Park (Graham Fair Grounds) at 2:30PM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eva's life.
