Frank L Gaunt, 81 passed away peacefully Saturday December 22, 2012 at his home in Eatonville, WA. With his loving wife Erica, step son Hunter, and close friend Matthew by his side after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Frank was an extremely acomplished man. He was born January 21, 1931 in seattle to Leo F. Gaunt and Gertrude Dutton Gaunt where he grew up with his lovely sister Beverly. He later went on to become a marine, graduated from Seattle University with a masters degree in engineering, retired after 27 years as an engineer at Boeing, started his own company after inventing a lubricant that is used worldwide, then went on to pursue his passion as a horseman, all while raising five beautiful children. As a horseman, he enjoyed many achievements in racing. On November 2, 2012, he and his wife attended the Breeders Cup where they watched their horse Stormy Lucy in the filly and mare turf. Frank was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by wife Erica, sister Beverly, children Barbara, Bernice, Debbie, Gary and Hunter. Preceded in death by father Leo, mother Gertrude and daughter Joyce.
