Auction items are being accepted for a fund-raising event benefitting Fire District 23 battalion chief Bill Tylor, who was paralyzed in a recent accident. The day-long event is scheduled for Oct. 6 at the Eatonville Eagles lodge, starting with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. and ending with live music at 8:30 p.m. In between, a poker motorcycle ride, a spaghetti dinner and an auction also are planned. Event organizers are seeking donations for the silent and live auction. Information is available at smileyfire9@yahoo.com. All proceeds from the fund-raiser will be applied toward medical bills and the purchase of a handicap-accessible van for Tylor. While helping load hay on a trailer July 13, he fell head-first, suffering a spinal cord injury that left him a quadriplegic. In addition to the fund-raising event, financial donations to the Tylor Fund are being accepted at First Citizens Bank, P.O. Box 1610, Eatonville, WA 98328.
