Graham-Kapowsin, led by singles champion Megan Hagerty, finished second in the South Puget Sound League 4A high school girls tennis tournament. Hagerty beat all five opponents she faced, including Avery Liening of Beamer, who she defeated 6-2, 6-1 in the title match May 11. The top 11 finishers in singles and doubles competition advanced to the West Central District tournament. Among those in the field will be Madi Schnabel of Bethel, who placed seventh with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Anya Bonner of Mt. Rainier. Also qualifying for the district event were Bethel's doubles team of Emily Petry and Page Raney. After losing their first-round match, they battled through the consolation bracket to finish 11th. Lauren Palmer of Spanaway Lake bowed out of the singles competition with back-to-back losses. During the regular season, Graham-Kapowsin finished second in the SPSL's South division with a 7-2 record.
