Legislators 'looking forward to citizen input'

State Reps. Gary Alexander and J.T. Wilcox will host three town hall-style meetings this Saturday in the Second District for discussions of issues facing the Legislature. The first meeting of the day will be from 10 to 11 a.m. in Graham at the Graham Fire and Rescue station at 23014 70th Avenue E. That will be followed by sessions scheduled for 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Lacey Fire Station 34 and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Yelm Public Safety Building. "I'm looking forward to hearing citizen input,GÇ¥ said Alexander, a legislator since 1996 who's in his first year as a representative for the Second District. He was reassigned to it through redistricting last year. "There are a lot of issues that we're dealing with in the Legislature that can have an impact on people's lives,GÇ¥ Alexander said. "Hearing our constituents' thoughts and ideas on various issues helps us make the difficult decisions that need to be made in Olympia.GÇ¥ Wilcox, a second-term lawmaker, said "hosting town halls is an important continuation of a time-honored tradition. I hope people bring great questions and ideas.GÇ¥
