Two of the legislators representing part of the south Pierce County area, including Graham and Eatonville, will meet with their public in a town hall-style gathering this Saturday. State Reps. Graham Hunt and J.T. Wilcox will be at Graham Fire and Rescue's headquarters fire station from 10 a.m. to noon to provide an update on legislative issues and progress in the 2014 session of the Legislature. They'll also invite input from their constituents. Hunt and Wilcox will be joined by two other legislators - Rep. Dick Muri and and Sen. Steve O'Ban, both from the the 28th District. All four lawmakers are Republicans. For Hunt, the event will be one of his first public appearances since being appointed in January to replace former state representative Gary Alexander. Alexander resigned at the end of 2013 after he lost a race for Thurston County auditor. He said during the campaign he would step down from the Legislature if he wasn't elected to the county post. The Second District covers portions of Pierce and Thurston counties. Hunt was appointed jointly by the Pierce County Council and the Thurston County Commissioners from among three candidates nominated by the Republican Party to replace Alexander, who is a Republican. Hunt lives in Orting, where he served on the City Council.
