Lena Gillilan, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away June 20. She had resided in Eatonville most of her life. She just celebrated her 92nd birthday. One of her passions was sports, and she rarely missed a sporting event that her family was involved in. She loved the Mariners and the Seahawks and was learning to enjoy the Sounders. She was a member of the Eatonville Eagles Auxiliary and Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd (Slim) Gillilan, her parents Joe and Jeanne Morris, two brothers GÇô Andy and Jim Morris, and a niece Jill Morris. She is survived by her daughter Sandy Williams (Mac), grandson Tim Christian (Claire) and his children Cade and Nola, granddaughter Annette Christian and her children Tim Petersen (Sammi Jo) and Tucker Acimovich (Zach), and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her special extended family GÇô Sandy Grimsley (Bob) and their son Bobby and his family and daughters Shelly and Brenda and their families; also members of the Emery families who have kept in touch with her over the years. At her request, there was a graveside service July 3 at the Eatonville Cemetery, with a reception following at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Because of her love of sports, donations are suggested to EYSA at PO Box 909, Eatonville, WA 98328.
