Libraries have job-hunt help

Pierce County Library System is offering free job search workshops, classes and programs in an effort to help people get the job or career they want. The Get Hired program covers topics such as writing a resume and cover letter, using technology in job-hunting, and preparing for interviews. Library branches in south Pierce County have scheduled the following services: " Eatonville branch: Technology classes by appointment. Call 253-548-3381./ " Graham branch: Job search workshops Dec. 2 ("Plan Your Job Search,GÇ¥ at 11 a.m. and "Prepare for Job InterviewsGÇ¥ at 2 p.m.). " Parkland-Spanaway branch: Technology classes ("Excel: Intro,GÇ¥ Nov. 12, 2-4 p.m.; "Internet for Beginners,GÇ¥ Nov. 17, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; "Excel: Charts,GÇ¥ Nov. 19, 2-4 p.m.; "Resume Resources,GÇ¥ Nov. 19, 6:30-8 p.m. and Dec. 17, 2-4 p.m.; "Excel: Formulas,GÇ¥ Dec. 17, 2-4 p.m.). Also, drop-in help from WorkSource representatives is available on Mondays through Dec. 28 from 10 a.m.-noon; and 2 p.m.-4 p.m. " South Hill branch: Technology classes ("Computers for Beginners,GÇ¥ Nov. 4, 9-10 a.m.; "Tech Help,GÇ¥ Nov. 13, 3-4:30 p.m.; "Internet for Beginners,GÇ¥ Dec. 2, 9-10 a.m.; "Excel: Intro,GÇ¥ Dec. 3, 1:30-3 p.m.).
