Lineberry the choice for county judge

Jeanette Lineberry, a former deputy prosecutor for Pierce County, is leading a race for District Court judge in results from the general election. Lineberry had 58 percent of votes in unofficial returns reported by the county's elections department. They were in the only contested race for eight District Court judgeships. All the others had only one candidate apiece. Lineberry and Williams both have experience as appointed judges at the District and municipal court levels. Williams has a 27-year background as a trial lawyer. In the three-candidate primary election in August, Lineberry was the frontrunner and Williams eked out a second-place finish by 448 votes ahead of Sandy Allen, setting up the Linneberry-Williams race in the general election.
