More free state park days coming up

The next three "free daysGÇ¥ at state parks GÇô when visitors are admitted without requiring a pass or the $10 one-day entry fee GÇô are scheduled for May 10, June 6 (in recognition of National Trails Day), and June 13 (National Get Outdoors Day). Free days are in keeping with legislation that created the Discover Pass, the annual one-day pass for vehicle access to recreation lands managed by Washington State Parks, the state Department of Fish and Wildlife and the state Department of Natural Resources. The legislation allows up to 12 free days each year. After May and June, the remaining free days in 2015 will be on Aug. 25 (National Park Service's 99th birthday), Sept. 26 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).
