Work on the Nisqually to Paradise Road at Mount Rainier National Park is continuing, with park officials advising visitors to be aware of related traffic disruptions. Road work is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each weekday. Delays of 20 minutes to 30 minutes are possible for motorists. In addition, night closures of the road near the West Side Road junction are planned. On Aug. 4-5, no traffic will be allowed to enter or exit the park via the Nisqually Road between 10:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. Parking at the Kautz Creek recreation area is available. The $32 million, two-year project for improvements of the Nisqually-Paradise roadway involves 17.6 miles of road.
