A head-on crash on New Year's Day on State Route 7 left one person dead and six others hospitalized. The State Patrol reported that Glenn Fitting, 48, of Eatonville died as a result of the crash that occurred Wednesday in the 31200 block of the highway in the Graham area. Fitting was the only person in the car that he was driving, troopers said. The other accident victims GÇô two adults and four children GÇô were taken to hospitals in Tacoma. The extent of their injuries wasn't reported. According to the State Patrol, the vehicle driven by Fitting crossed the center line of SR-7 and collided with the other vehicle. The highway was blocked for more than four hours after the accident, which was under investigation.
