One person died and two others were injured as a result of a collision between two vehicles in the Roy area Thursday. The State Patrol identified the deceased motorist as Penny Barlow, 57. She was a Roy resident. According to troopers, Barlow was alone in a pickup truck that crossed the centerline of State Route 507 near Eighth Avenue and collided with a car that was driven by a 23-year-old Spanaway woman. She and a passenger in the car, a 27-year-old Roy man, were taken to hospitals for treatment of unspecified injuries.
