Volleyball, girls swimming, boys and girls cross country, girls soccer and boys tennis teams will start practicing Aug. 24 for the 2015-16 high school fall sports season. Eatonville's teams will compete in the 1A Evergreen League. Graham-Kapowsin, Bethel and Spanaway Lake will vie in the 4A South Puget Sound League's South Division. Their first contests will be in September. The start of official pre-season team practices is dictated by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), the governing body of high school athletics in the state. Football, which opened practices on Aug. 19, gets an earlier start than the other fall sports.
