Rogers topped Bethel 49-27 in a South Puget Sound League 4A high school football game Thursday.
Bethel kept the contest close for a large part of the first half, trailing 14-6 in the second quarter until three unanswered touchdowns in the second quarter vaulted Rogers into a 35-6 lead at halftime and pointed the Braves toward their fifth consecutive loss.
Blake Schwartz on a 16-yard interception return in the second quarter, Kelly Fugate on an eight-yard pass from Connor Reopelle in the third period, and Kevin Ward on a one-yard run and Brandon Glick on a seven-yard pass from Ward in the fourth quarter scored Bethel's touchdowns.
